The fact that we are still using passwords, or that web-sites get hacked and passwords get stolen, is the software equivalent of banks deciding that they should just keep money in cardboard boxes in the broom closet at the bank instead of in a secure vault.  It’s negligent. It ought to be criminal. And yet, we keep pushing forward with sub-standard solutions ─ and we keep getting hacked and our data keeps getting stolen.
